TSK acquires Intecsa-Inarsa subsidiary Oil&Gas

SK has reached an agreement with Intecsa-Inarsa engineering to purchase their subsidiary Oil&Gas, which has been specialized in its field for more than 50 years.

With this operation TSK acquires the know-how and experience needed to carry out turnkey projects in the gas sector, in which until now TSK was not present due to the complex entry barriers that exist for access to oil and gas customers.

Intecsa-Inarsa, is a Spanish private capital engineering company, which was originally founded in 1965 under the name Intecsa (Internacional de Ingeniería y Estudios Técnicos, S.A.) as an engineering company whose main shareholder was at that time the construction company Dragados.

Years later Intecsa split into two companies, one remaining within the Dragados group and the other merging with the Inarsa company, also Spanish, thus forming Intecsa-Inarsa. In the year 2007 the Canadian multinational SNC Lavalin, one of the largest engineering groups internationally, decided to increase its presence in Europe and acquired 100% of Intecsa-Inarsa, maintaining its ownership until December 2013, when it sold its Spanish subsidiary to the present shareholders, ownership of Intecsa-Inarsa thus returning to Spanish capital.

During these 50 years the Oil&Gas division has been specialized in engineering services in the oil and gas industry (upstream), evolving from conceptual engineering to construction and commissioning of complete plants. Highlights include the execution of gas compression facilities where Oil & Gas has been involved in more than 70% of the facilities currently in operation in Spain, as well as participation in more than 4,000 km. of gas and oil pipelines. Compression stations are plants that ensure that natural gas maintain sufficient pressure on its journey through long-distance pipelines.

Oil&Gas also has substantial experience in projects for hydrocarbon loading, unloading and storage terminals, pumping stations, LNG regasification plants, underground storage of natural gas, and hydrocarbon-contaminated water treatment plants, and has taken part in such significant works as the tanker docking facilities for the port of Barcelona LNG plant, the underground gas storage facility in Yela, Guadalajara, or the expansion of capacity of the LNG regasification plant in Quintero Chile.

Oil&Gas has worked for clients such as ENAGAS, REPSOL, CLH, GDF SUEZ, SONATRACH, FCC, FLUXYS, REGANOSA, IBERDROLA, ENDESA or GAS NATURAL, with international experience in France, Belgium, Portugal, Algeria, Mexico and Chile.
