The mission of this project is to increase the efficiency of the complete eucalyptus biomass production process, optimising the generation of electricity from eucalyptus waste and taking advantage of the liquid waste resulting from the pyrolysis processes as a source of fuel and chemical substances.
Through these initiatives, the project expects to generate 176 Gwh of electricity a year, avoiding the emission of 403 million tonnes of CO2 annually.
INGEMAS is working in collaboration with the CARTIF Foundation, ASMADERA and ANERGY LTD. According to European Commissioner for Environment JANEZ POTOCNIK, projects of this type represent a significant contribution to the protection, preservation and improvement of Europe's natural capital. They also foster the objective of making the EU a more ecological and competitive hypocarbonic economy that makes more efficient use of its resources.
