FICYT approves the R+D+i project: Study of salts and materials aimed at the new generation of solar thermal plants operating at a higher temperature

Since July 2013 ELECTRONICS & ELECTRIC SA TSK is developing the project "Study of salts and materials aimed at the new generation of solar thermal plants operating at a higher temperature" co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER, in Spanish) and the Principality of Asturias, record number IE13-161.
This project addresses the studies analyzing and tackling the corrosion phenomena detected in the designs of current CSPP plants. At the same time, it proposes the selection and study of new materials capable of resisting the operating conditions of solar thermal power plants in the future. This part is currently in progress. This research aims to position TSK as a reference provider for the new generation of solar thermal plants at high temperatures, more efficient, with lower investment costs and a smaller environmental impact.
