FICYT approves the R+D+i project: Research study for the detection of frozen salts in heat transfer circuit: application to solar thermal power plants

Since July 2013 ELECTRONICS & ELECTRIC SA TSK is developing the project "Research study for the detection of frozen salts in heat transfer circuit: application to thermal solar power plants" co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Principality of Asturias, record number IE13-116. 
This project will validate the potential application of different technologies to detect solidified salts plugs in the plant. These studies indicate the feasibility for the future development of an industrial prototype for a system based on the technique identified as the one whose potential is stronger for both exploitation and use. Incorporating the results of the M&O operations offered by TSK in order to reduce the problems caused by salt plugs, results in lower downtime, lower costs and lower efficiency losses.
